Yuni Kim
Born in Busan, Republic of Korea, Kim is a Berlin-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans text, sculpture, painting, photography, installation, drawing, and sound. Her work navigates the intersections of subjectivity, emotion, and materiality, engaging objects, plants, and animals as conduits of meaning.
Kim collects and repurposes found materials from urban landscapes, weaving them into layered narratives through processes of duplication, distortion, and spatial reconfiguration. By bending and repositioning these objects, she challenges conventional perceptions of form and function, expanding her practice beyond the physicality of exhibition spaces. Through a reinterpretation of architectural contexts, her work dissolves boundaries between space and time, creating immersive, thought-provoking experiences.
Kim received her Meisterschüler degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Arts Berlin.
